The Marketing and Investor Relations Executive is responsible for providing marketing and database management support across a portfolio of assigned international exhibitions and conferences. Besides that, the Marketing and Investor Relations Executive will also be the point of contact for investors attending our events.

 

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the role is to ensure that marketing outreach targets are achieved and exceeded where possible, through both personal & team efforts and database is robust and updated for maximum sales and marketing effectiveness. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in digital marketing duties such as expanding social media presence to the target client profile, posting relevant content on social media, utilising online advertising tools to grow overall event awareness, including across non-English-speaking regions etc 

  • Assist in sales lead generation research duties i.e. research companies via social media or current industry news to expand database, tidy up current records and maintain database effectiveness 

  • Merging database with current sales and marketing tools

  • Research, reach out, call and follow up with new and current association and media partners for event partnerships, including any other paid advertising platforms 

  • Research and maintain a database of global investors. Reach out and invite them for our events as well as cultivate warm relations with them 

 

 

Requirements 

 

  • Min. 2 years related work experience, preferably in the events industry 

  • Minimum Diploma Holder and proficient in digital marketing 

  • Knowledge of CRM software and strong IT proficiency is preferred

  • Excellent organisation skills, especially for database management, and diligence in follow ups are essential in this role

  • Must be very comfortable working closely in a SME team environment

  • Initiative and ability to learn fast to understand the needs and latest trends of the specific industries, especially mining, technology and finance 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in other languages, especially Spanish and French, will be a significant advantage

Senior Conference Manager / Conference Manager - NEW

 

We are currently seeking a bright, hard-working, focused and experienced conference manager to handle a portfolio of international events to the mining industry across various geographies.

 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for both the production and profitability of their portfolio: developing a robust schedule of growing products throughout the year, and working very closely with the sales and marketers to map out the key buy-sell dynamics in the sector, build the database, develop excellent products, key customer relationships and commercial success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding industries and the relevant value chains

  • Conducting in-depth industry research, both on the phone and face to face & speaking with senior level executives

  • Developing strong relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders

  • Inviting high level industry leaders to speak and participate at the events to attract the target audience

  • Ensuring the content is top quality, taking into consideration local requirements and expectations

  • Writing the promotional copy for your conference programmes, website homepage and all electronic promotional campaigns

  • Working with the marketing team to deliver effective marketing campaigns to achieve delegate targets

  • Ensuring sponsorship targets are met through close and effective collaboration with the sponsorship team

  • Providing post conference content and market reports and analysis, both for internal use and publication on the event’s website

  • Networking during conferences to develop future ideas for topics and develop business relationships

 

Requirements:

  • Career-focused and highly ambitious

  • Min. 2 years production experience, preferably in mining or oil & gas sectors, with a proven track-record of creating successful events, based on strong market research processes (copies of or links to past agendas that you have produced will be required)

  • Must be producing commercial, profitable, delegate-led conferences, with at least 200+ attendees

  • Must be very comfortable working closely with sales people, and able to demonstrate an extremely strong understanding of buy-sell dynamics, working as a cohesive unit with sponsorship and marketing

  • Highly intelligent and academically successful, with a top degree

  • Commercially driven and ambitious with a strong desire to make money & achieve targets

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines

Exhibition Sales Executive / Manager

 

The Exhibition Sales Executive / Manager is responsible for securing exhibitors, sponsors, and sales agents to reach sales targets across a portfolio of assigned international exhibitions and conferences.

Reporting to the Sales Director the role is to ensure that revenue targets for exhibition stand and sponsorship sales are achieved and exceeded where possible, through both personal sales and team sales efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure exhibition booth, sponsorship and conference revenue for annual and launch events

  • Build sales strategy with direct report, Marketing and Content team

  • Meet sales target and beyond with a desire to exceed expectations

  • Manage CRM and provide accurate sales pipeline report to management  

  • Be proactive in the marketing, build and maintain relationships with existing clients while bringing in new business

  • Excellent skills in writing proposals and strict follow up

  • Assist Marketing & Content to ensure the delivery of attendees to the event

  • Conduct competitive intelligence

Requirements:

Networking Executive

The Networking Executive / Manager is responsible for reaching out to relevant companies and individuals to attend international exhibitions and conferences (buy side profile for events) and ensure attendees fulfill their networking objectives.

Reporting to the Director, the role is to work with the sales and marketing team to ensure the right profile of attendees and attend to the clients’ networking needs before, during and after the event.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research for relevant companies and individuals for various events

  • Excellent networking skills and initiative to seek out new networking opportunities whilst maintaining relationships with existing clients

  • Ensure online and offline networking tools create meaningful business engagements for current and potential clients

  • Facilitate and oversee onsite networking opportunities for attending delegates

  • Create the desired networking environment to achieve business development objectives via the event platform

  • Manage CRM and provide accurate reports to management
