
Sponsorship Delegate Sales Executive / Manager - NEW
We are looking to recruit a Sponsorship Delegate Sales Executive to sell ‘participation packages’ to our events world-wide.
Job Description:
You are responsible for selling over the telephone a range of participation packages that includes event sponsorship, multi-event sponsorship, bundles of delegate tickets and exhibition stands to existing clients and new business prospects.
Reporting to the Sales Director the role is to ensure that revenue targets of assigned events are achieved and exceeded where possible, through both personal sales & team sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Secure exhibition booth and sponsorship revenue

Sell delegate tickets across a number of events

To meet or succeed monthly and yearly revenue targets by selling consistently to all possible targets; repeat delegates, new clients and prospects

To convince the prospect of the benefits of our events
-
Oversee and take ownership of the sales process, including building and managing pipelines and reporting on all activities

Manage CRM & provide accurate sales pipeline report to management
-
Be proactive in marketing, build & maintain relationships with existing clients while bringing in new business

Make at least 40 calls per day on average over a week – the role requires significant time on the phone to contact clients and prospects

Excellent skills in writing proposals & strict follow up

Conduct competitive intelligence

Feed customer insights & market information to management

Be able to work extra hours as and when required
Requirements:

0 - 3 years' experience in a B2B sales environment, telesales or phone based marketing

Ideally degree level educated, minimum A-level
-
Confident of generating new business leads from cold calling, personal research and industry networking

Excellent communication & negotiation skills and telephone manner

Highly motivated and organized with ability to manage multi-task in fast paced environment

Independent, self-motivated, resilient, determined, assertive, capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines and prioritising

Senior Conference Manager / Conference Manager
We are currently seeking a bright, hard-working, focused and experienced conference manager to handle a portfolio of international events to the mining industry across various geographies.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for both the production and profitability of their portfolio: developing a robust schedule of growing products throughout the year, and working very closely with the sales and marketers to map out the key buy-sell dynamics in the sector, build the database, develop excellent products, key customer relationships and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:

Conducting in-depth industry research, both on the phone and face to face & speaking with senior level executives

Developing strong relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders

Inviting high level industry leaders to speak and participate at the events to attract the target audience

Writing the promotional copy for your conference programmes, website homepage and all electronic promotional campaigns

Ensuring sponsorship targets are met through close and effective collaboration with the sponsorship team

Providing post conference content and market reports and analysis, both for internal use and publication on the event’s website

Requirements:

Min. 2 years production experience, preferably in mining or oil & gas sectors, with a proven track-record of creating successful events, based on strong market research processes (copies of or links to past agendas that you have produced will be required)

Must be producing commercial, profitable, delegate-led conferences, with at least 200+ attendees

Must be very comfortable working closely with sales people, and able to demonstrate an extremely strong understanding of buy-sell dynamics, working as a cohesive unit with sponsorship and marketing

Overall

Propose and implement marketing and branding strategy for conferences and Expos across all our brands across continents

Develop social media marketing strategy as part of the overall digital marketing strategy and tactical plan for events, optimising our campaigns and messages across multiple platforms

Execute marketing plan across multiple social media platforms, working closely with other departments to manage our various social media platforms including scheduling and uploading posts

Build and further enhance our database in CRM system.

Preparing marketing materials in English, French and Spanish

Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends and developments in the landscape we operate in

Provide feedback to Managing Director where improvements are to be made
Partnership

Research for new association and media partners

Reach out to current partners

Call and follow up with all potential and current partners to negotiate terms and confirm partnership

Follow up tasks for confirmed partners include ensuring all banners are uploaded online, marketing collaterals are submitted on time to the partners and are disseminated, as promised, by the partner

Media

Research on local, regional and international media to invite/send press release for each event and compile + update the press mailing list

Send all invites and press releases to the media & compile media attendance

Monitor and compile Spire Events and all post event media coverage.

Highlight suitable media articles on mining and energy matters for sales and social media follow ups.
Marketing Logistics

Research and reach out to vendors for marketing and event logistics across the world (e.g. photographer and videographer, marketing collateral suppliers, booth vendors, networking online tool etc.)
CRM

Build customer database in SalesForce

Gather and use data from different internal and external sources – turning data into insights that help sales teams realize opportunities

Quality checks on company and contact– removing duplicates etc

Regular email bounce quality checks and verifications.

Performing regular corrections to ensure data accuracy

Maintaining data quality in CRM – generating reports and performance of pipeline

Providing timely reports on data quality, outstanding lead reports to sales teams and lead conversion reports on CRM

Management of the List Research function within the business – this requires allocation of projects and overall management of the process and the team
Requirements
-
Degree in Marketing, or Digital Marketing, or Business Management with Marketing is preferred, with good English written and verbal communication skills

Minimum 3 years work experience in marketing and public relations, preferably in events industry or a global company

Excellent knowledge of various social media best practices
-

Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken

Possess high level of creativity and dynamism in devising digital campaigns to reach different target audience and engage different groups proactively
