What we call the “human factor” is simply how people, managers and contractors interact as a whole in an organization in a way that can affect safety. More than ever, all types of industry state the importance of managing human factors to improve safety culture and business performance. Major accidents (Macondo, Port of Beirut, Fukushima) have highlighted the importance of addressing this aspect of performance. Many safety and operational managers do not have qualifications or training in human and behavioural sciences. This 3-days course is developed to create knowledge and awareness of individual factors that can impact on human performance which leads to mistakes in the first place. This course follows a 50/50 training strategy: half the time the trainer gives explanations and the other half the participants are in action (workshops, case studies, experience sharing, role plays, quizzes, etc.).
